The most original and engaging flash game I've ever played is Little Wheel:

It's a short and easy game, but it leaves an unforgettable impression. When I work in the games industry I want to get permission to remake it into a longer version.
I also un-ironically love Michael Gibson's "ZapDramatic" games. They're ludicrous, poorly animated, and full of themselves, but there's nothing quite like them. They're a bizarre, frantic, unsettling, and awkward bunch of games that can most be compared to Phoenix Wright, but even that doesn't do it justice. He has several free flashes on his website (http://www.zapdramatic.com/), and newgrounds as well, but most of them you have to pay for. I at least recommend watching gameplay videos of some of them, which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/PinstripeHourglass/videos
