client timing out

Post by sniper101 »

Okay so 6/25/13

FADW server is timing out on me but here's the catch only some people are timed out and sometime the whole server is timed out. I hope It's just me but today ( 6/25/13 ) I was timed out 3-4 times already.

It's randomly timing out me and making me miss all the rounds of TTT

T_T

EDIT: Timed out now more than 5 times

I don't know what's causing this. I haven't had a single issue with the connection to the server. I might look through the logs in the morning to see what's up with that (It's currently 3:14 AM [PI!] here in Norwegialand).

I'm up at 3, yes, but being able to play is a whole different story.

It MAY have something to do with the crash prevent plugin from markus that I added.

Seems like we could have traded one problem for another.

I had that hypothesis as well, although, I was hoping that wasn't the issue.

I temporarily removed the ragdoll script to see if that fixed the issue. I did it right after Shadow, Kyuenmaru & Fluffy disconnected at the same time.

I've been having the same issue after installing the crash prevent plugin on my server. Only on specific maps does it do it on, and only on specific maps do I have the crazy ragdoll body flop.

It's always replacing one issue with another when it comes to Lua.

What I don't get though, is that in the logs it says that it was a "Disconnect by user". The client doesn't seem to time out for the server, it's like Garry's Mod is forcing the client to disconnect.
