Your rig
Re: Your rig
Haha I see, and thanks! This rig is a blast to play on, I'll have to get some night pictures up at some point, that way the lights are a bit more impressive .

Re: Your rig
Pretty nice wiring job on that. Looks neat and tighty. I get too frustrated when trying to cable manage, then just give up.
Pretty stellar build, though.

Re: Your rig
Thanks Syko! That interior picture was actually taken during the initial build, so that's not as tidy as it currently is.
I'll get a new interior picture up soon, showing my current cable management. I'm actually not quite happy with it yet though.
The management space behind the motherboard tray in the 912 is not quite wide enough, for things such as the 24 pin cable, to sit
happily with a cable or two passing over/under it, making management a bit of a challenge. It should look cleaner in general once the
interior is painted black, (An upcoming project of mine.) seeing as the cable sleeves are black, making what cables are visible, a little bit less noticeable.

Re: Your rig
Cooler Master is one of my all time favorite brands. Every product I've gotten from them seems amazingly built, and lasts for ever. The HAF seems like a good case, but I went with a ATX full tower because I'm cool like that. So, I went with the Phantom. And I absolutely love it. Such an amazing case...the stock fans are terrible, though. :/

Re: Your rig
Potential replacement in the next year or so:
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth z79
Processor: Intel core i7-3930k 6-core 3.2Ghz Enthusiast series
Cooler: Noctua SSO Cpu Cooler for 2011 sockets
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 1880Mhz
PSU: Cooler master Silent Gold PRO 800W Fully Modular
Graphics: Radeon 7870 HD
Hard Drive: 2 Kingston hyper X SSD's in RAID 0
Samsung sinpoint 1tb 7200RPM for storage
WD My passport 1tb external
Case: CM Storm Stryker ATX Full tower
a set of 4 cougar 120mm fans
Speakers: Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers
Headset: Audio Technica ATH-D40fs
Sound card: Creative sound blaster
Webcam: Rosewill usb 2.0 1.3M
Mouse: Razer Deathadder
Keyboard: Razer Black Widdow
Display: 2 LG 24" LED 1080P widescreen monitors
This was more of a dream build, rather than an actual definite replacement. The E series intel chips are ridiculous...6 cores running with hyperthreading essentially making 12. The Hyper X SSd's are some of the fastest SSD's on the market, and throwing them in a Raid Array will boost performance pretty nicely.
The memory is probably the fastest stock memory on the market as well...the timing scheme is insanely fast. And the quad-channel kit will work flawlessly with the Z79 chipset.
I'm a huge fan of Cooler Master and I'm absolutely in love with their CM storm series products. So I went with a beautifully designed case, and a cooler master PSU
The Radeon graphics was more of a interest...I want to know how well the Radeon can outperform the same class graphics in the Nvidia series. I would normally the intel chip with an nvidia, but I've always been an AMD fan. I've just never built an insane AMD computer.
