RuneScape has recently gone through a large update, known as the Eoc, or Evolution of Combat. From what I've witnessed, this essentially split the community in half, half of the people hated it, half enjoy it. The basic idea of what this entailed is that it took the classic RuneScape "Click, and your character attacks until the enemy dies." and made it into a typical MMO combat system, you have weak auto-attacks, and you use skills on a hot-bar, to use for extra damage, and special effects.
After this, there was a petition, and a large, still ongoing, vote for the servers from 2007. The early access is up, and so now essentially the people (Including myself) who loved RuneScape for what it used to be, are EXTREMELY happy. They are going to be hosting some 80 2007 servers or so, in addition to the normal servers from now on. The thing that will change depending on how many votes the poll gets, is the amount of money you'll have to pay to play it. This was a huge game of my childhood, so I'm thrilled. But anyways, my point of this thread was to say that I may not be on quite as often as usual for a couple of weeks, while I get my fill of RuneScape again . I still plan to be on at least every other day though. But I just thought I'd write this as a hybrid, Short News Story / Why I'll not be on as much for a while thread.

HaHa, im level 33 in cooking i think and like 18 in range and 20 in consition or something lol and im going to master cheif of this sever! lol ima cook something for everyone lol maybe if u guys got some money... lol everyone does. and today im baking honey bread. and honey cake! IN REAL LIFE lol i love cooking and i like serving them lol. My runescape name is fancyservant lol. i like something like servant with my name lol.

My skills have increased over time, but I really liked the classic RuneScape. I still like the "rest" function and the "Grand trading" thing. But all the major combat updates and skill updates turned me away from it pretty quickly.

I remember when the abyssal whip was 3.4m to buy. And the abyssal cape was like 300k a pop.

I made my money fletching and runecrafting (Cosmics, since I made double as well as a few Law and Nature)

I think my runecrafting is up to like...80 or so. I loved rune crafting.

i made money woodcutting and fishing i just got my fishing high enough to fish sharks and then i ran out of money for membership... lol

I made money by selling grapes and ale to the grand exchange, since you could buy an ale from the bartender for 10 coins then walk to the grand exchange and sell that ale for 1k. I could make 100k an hour before people got smart and stopped buying ale from the grand exchange :3 I think ale is still overpriced but its not worth nearly 1k coins anymore

Working on the 2007 game has been so much fun! I haven't quite had the time that I'd like to spend on it, but still fun.
Here are some pics of my 2007, and EoC characters. I quit playing somewhere around when EoC came out, so my stats never got outstanding.

Finally bought a month of membership to be able to play OldScape. The nostalgic feeling I get from this is just awesome.
