I know that feel. The Google Plus integration is just annoying from what I've experienced.

I abandoned Google a while ago. If I want to watch some gameplay, Twitch is a better service. If I want to listen to a song, I go to VEVO or Vimeo. If I want to search something, I use DuckDuckGo. I'm still transitioning from GMail to Yahoo Mail, though.
